This online training equips community providers with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to successfully guide clients through the Ready To Rent curriculum. Through an interactive and participatory learning environment, trainees will strengthen their rental housing knowledge, build their teaching skills, and gain the confidence to deliver an engaging and empowering learning experience for their clients.

  • Training Techniques 
  • Applying adult learning principles to the Ready To Rent curriculum
  • Overview & Exploration of the Curriculum 
  • Rights & Responsibilities of Renters
  • Strategies For Overcoming Rental Barriers 
  • How participants Earn a Ready to Rent Certificate of Completion
  • Instructors receive a Ready to Rent Instructor Training Manual and access to teaching materials via the Ready To Rent Curriculum cloud.

  • Session 1 – December 8, 2026
  • Session 2 - December 10, 2026
  • Session 3 - December 15, 2026
  • Session 4 - December 17, 2026
  • Time - 9am-1pm (pacific time)

(a one-time $1,000 Licensing Fee is required for all non-licensed organizations)

Instructor certification is required to teach the Ready To Rent curriculum.

Anyone teaching the Ready To Rent curriculum must complete Instructor Certification Training prior to instruction. Instructors may include staff, volunteers, board members, and others designated by the licensed organization.

Instructors receive a Ready to Rent Instructor Training Manual that includes:

  • Instructor Training Guide (step-by-step guide on how to teach the Action Kit)
  • Standard Ready to Rent Action Kit (participant workbook)
  • Adapted Ready to Rent Action Kit (participant workbook)
  • Program Forms
  • Additional materials, forms and both participant Action Kits are available to Certified Instructors on the R2R Cloud for printing.


All Certified Instructors receive access to teaching materials via the Ready To Rent Curriculum Cloud and ongoing technical assistance via phone, email, or webinar.
