...With Certified Instructors
In order to teach the Ready to Rent curriculum, instructor certification is required.
Agency instructors must complete the Instructor Certification Training prior to teaching any part of the curriculum. Certified Instructors may include staff, volunteers, board members, etc. All instructors receive on-going technical assistance via phone, e-mail or webinar.
Online training consists of one, 1-hour “Introduction To Ready to Rent” session and three, 3-hour Instructor Training sessions. In addition, a post-training supplemental assignment is required for certification. Instructors receive access to teaching materials via the Ready To Rent Curriculum Cloud and a Ready to Rent Instructor Training Manual that includes:
- Instructor Training Guide (step-by-step guide on how to teach the Action Kit)
- Standard Ready to Rent Action Kit (participant workbook)
- Adapted Ready to Rent Action Kit (participant workbook)
- Participant Program Forms
- Available on the R2R Cloud: Principles In Adult Learning Housing (a guide for teaching adult learners), Marketing Materials
